Pamela King, Year 2-1 TeacherPamela King is from Dunblane in Scotland and now lives in France. She has taught in Scottish schools for 6 years and spent a summer teaching English as a foreign language in Japan. She has a BEd (Hons) in Education from Strathclyde University in Glasgow. In her spare time she enjoys travelling, watching movies, skiing and drinking lots of tea. |
Caroline Hopgood, Teaching AssistantCarrie Hopgood is British, has lived in Switzerland since 1999 and has worked as a classroom assistant at IIL since 2003. She is married with 3 teenage children, the oldest of whom is at university in the UK. She qualified as a nurse, specializing in coronary care, but 'retired' from nursing after the birth of her third child. Her interests include walking, travel and meeting friends for coffee. |

Bic Luu, Year 2-2 TeacherMrs Luu teaches Year 2-2 class on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. She has a BA degree in Elementary Education from Arizona State University West. In America, she has taught first grade and eighth grade. Mrs Luu arrived in Geneva in 2003. She has taught Reception and Year 2 at IIL since 2004. Her interests include playing tennis, cooking, going shopping and travelling with her family. |
Beverley Zbinden, Year 2-2 TeacherBeverley Zbinden teaches Year 2-2 on Thursdays and Fridays. She comes from Lincolnshire in Northern England. She is married with three children and has lived in Geneva since 1993. Beverley graduated form Salford University in 1992 with a degree BSc in French, German and Marketing Studies. She then trained as a teacher of English as a Foreign Language (CELTA) and later specialised in teaching English to children (CELTYL). Beverley has taught in schools in Geneva for many years. This is her tenth year of working at I.I.L. Prior to teaching Year 2, she taught English to English mother tongue children in the French Primary Section. In her free time Beverley enjoys dancing and skiing.

Miranda Malt, Teaching AssistantMiranda Malt was born in England and obtained her BA (Hons) degree in Childhood Studies from Greenwich University. She moved to Geneva with her partner in 2006 and has two children attending IIL, one in the English section and one in the French. Her eldest son lives and works in England. In her spare time, Miranda enjoys playing the violin, cake decorating and walking. She is also the Co-leader of a Brownie troop in Grand-Lancy. |
Amanda Godfrey, Teaching AssistantAmanda Godfrey is English and has lived in Geneva with her family since 2006. She has three children, two of whom are currently at the school and one is in the Swiss state system. She has worked as a classroom assistant at iil since 2008. Her interests are art, design and being by the lake in Geneva. |
